Sparkasse Bremen Campus - Major order fpr ZECH Bau branch in Bremen

With the signing of the general contractor agreement on 11.06.2019, another major Bremen project was secured. The Campus Sparkasse Bremen consortium was awarded the contract for the ready-for-use construction of the new administration building at a fixed net price of EUR 52.5 million.

From the start of the architectural competition, Sparkasse Bremen had already decided to work with a strong partner to carry out the conception and planning phase for this ambitious building project. A classic partnering process was used to develop an extremely sophisticated, high-tech and highly sustainable building in a one-year preconstruction phase.

A 6-storey building will be constructed on a 7,000 m² site, divided into an administration building and a separate multi-storey car park. As well as the impressive entrance area, consulting and training rooms, a bistro and an area for young start-up companies are planned on the ground floor. On the first to third floors, modern workplaces will be created for the Sparkasse employees based on a nonterritorial organisational principle. Here, the work of tomorrow will be encouraged in so-called business clubs in independent, flexible working groups with a high degree of digital media. On the top floor, in addition to a large number of flexible meeting rooms, the Management Board will have its new office.

The architectural design of the highly prestigious facade with vertically arranged facade swords, the elaborate interior design of the architects, together with the modern occupancy planning of the Sparkasse, the sustainability requirements for DGNB Platinum and the associated building technologies, such as geothermal energy, heat pumps and cooling are completed by the high degree of security and media technology.

Together with the internal competences of groups such as Ecotec and InFaCon, the basic design of the client's own planning teams was structured and economically realised within an extremely ambitious planning period.

Excavation work, as well as the up to 150 m deep geothermal drillings had already been completed thanks to an advance order. At the beginning of March 2019, the shell construction work was started - with the aim of having the shell construction completed and the building shell finished by the coming winter, and then handing over the entire construction project to the customer on a ready-to-use basis by October 2020.
